Sachin Dharwadker is a junior at James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, Wisconsin. His first directorial effort, That Obscure Object of Desire, won the award for Best Narrative at Memorial’s April 2011 film festival. He recently collaborated with classmate Christopher Herr on a school video project titled I Am JMM, which won both the high school category and the overall grand prize at the 2011 WASB Student Video Contest. Uncommon Sense is Sachin’s most ambitious and personal film project to date.

In addition to filmmaking, Sachin enjoys acting, singing, writing, basketball, and soccer. Sachin’s parents are both professors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they teach in the humanities. He hopes to study film in college and pursue directing as a career.
